Requests the Speaker of the House of Representatives to establish a bipartisan Task Force on Federal Regulatory Practices. Directs the task force to investigate and evaluate the extent that Federal regulations achieve intended purposes, and the disproportionate economic effects of Federal regulations on particular segments of society. States that the task force shall identify duplicate regulations and identify methods by which Congress can evaluate the administration of regulatory programs.
Authorizes the expenses of the task force to be paid out of the contingent fund of the House in a total amount not to exceed $300,000.
Directs the task force to file a report containing its findings and recommendations with the Clerk of the House as soon as practicable before the adjournment sine die of the second session of Congress.
