Recognizes Goodloe Byron of Maryland, former Member of the House of Representatives and the Senate, for his efforts to provide for the protection of the Appalachian Trail for public use and enjoyment.
Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior, in cooperation with the Appalachian Trail Conference and the State of Maryland, to design and erect at a location along the Maryland segment of the Trail an appropriate marker in commemoration of the contributions of Goodloe Byron.
