Uniform Sentencing Act of 1984 - Requires the Judicial Conference of the United States to prescribe sentencing guidelines for Federal judges to use in determining criminal sentences.
Requires that the guidelines and a statement of their expected impact be submitted to Congress.
Specifies criteria for the payment of fines and for terms of imprisonment.
Establishes within the Judicial Conference a Committee on Sentencing made up of seven appointed members with a variety of backgrounds and interests in the Federal criminal justice system.
