Mr. Dunn submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the
Committee on House Administration

RESOLUTION
Requiring that unexpended balances in the official allowances of
Members of the House of Representatives be returned to the Treasury for
deficit reduction.
Resolved, That (a) any amount made available to a Member of the
House of Representatives in an official allowance may be used only by
that Member for the period and purpose for which such allowance is made
available. At the end of that period, any amount remaining shall be
returned to the Treasury for the purpose of deficit reduction.
(b) As used in this resolution, the term ``Member of the House of
Representatives'' means a Representative in, or a Delegate or Resident
Commissioner to, the Congress.
