A BILL
To require the President to submit a separately identified
appropriation request to provide priority funding for the national
parks of the United States, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Crown Jewel National Parks Act''.
SEC. 2. PRIORITY FUNDING REQUESTS FOR NATIONAL PARKS.
Section 1105(a) of title 31, United States Code, is amended by
adding at the end the following:
``(32) a separate statement of the amount of appropriations
requested for priority funding for each national park, the
Crown Jewels of the National Park System, and a separate
statement setting forth the reasons why priority funding is not
requested for a national park (if any).''.
