Children's Health Insurance Protection (CHIP) Act - Amends XIX (Medicaid) of the Social Security Act with respect to the income level of certain children born after September 30, 1983 (or, at the option of a state, after any earlier date), who are between 6 and 19 years of age. Maintains the income level at 100% of the income official poverty line applicable to a family of the size involved by repealing the increase to 113% of the poverty line scheduled to begin January 1, 2014.

A BILL
To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to allow for the
continuation of the pre-ACA flexibility of States in providing CHIP
coverage to low-income children.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Children's Health Insurance
Protection (CHIP) Act''.
SEC. 2. CONTINUING PRE-ACA STATE FLEXIBILITY IN PROVIDING CHIP COVERAGE
FOR LOW-INCOME CHILDREN.
Effective January 1, 2014, section 1902(l)(2)(C) of the Social
Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396a(l)(2)(C)) is amended by striking ``(or,
beginning January 1, 2014, 133 percent)''.
