A bill to increase the number of fuel-economy automobiles purchased by the Federal Government.

States that the aggregate number of heavyweight automobiles (not achieving at least seventeen miles per gallon) purchased by all executive agencies in fiscal year 1975 may not exceed 30 percent of the aggregate number of automobiles purchased by all executive agencies in such year. Provides that the aggregate number of heavyweight automobiles (not achieving at least twenty miles per gallon) purchased by all executive agencies in fiscal year 1976 may not exceed 10 percent of the aggregate number of automobiles purchased by all executive agencies in such year.
